I ♥ Bohol: Aproriana,Butterfly Garden, Tigbao Hanging Bridge

I'm not a  fan of snake, ever! But this one was included in our tour packages so why not visit it as well right?

Prony is a self-developed and trained Python found in the Philippines. It is  biggest and longest Phyton in  in the Island of Bohol. No one, I mean no one among us dare to come inside the cage to touch or even take a photo with Prony.









The place has an entrance fee of 15 pesos.You can also  see other animals here.

 There is also a souvenir shop here where you can buy pasalubong like shirt, bag and Bohol's delicacy.We didn't buy anything because I heard that it is much cheaper in Tigbao Hanging bridge.He..he

 Next-Butterfly farm

I love butterflies! I think they are wonderful creation of God that  gives beautiful colors in our world.When we went to Palawan, I expected to see lots of butterflies to play with. I was a little disappointed because  I didn't find many butterflies so I did not expect anything here at Butterfly Farm in bohol.

We paid fifty pesos entrance fee. There was a tour guide who will explain about butterflies, cocoon and moth.

My uncle actually enjoyed listening to the tour guide. Asking questions from time to time.He even told me "Maganda yung ganyan, may nagpapaliwanag, may natutunan." Wow!

On our way to the sanctuary. It was actually a landscaped garden full of flowering plants and of course, butterflies. Our guide said that more than 60 species of butterflies come to the garden. It was really nice, I kind a like it because the place was cool and relaxing.

The butterflies are actually in two's.Why? The guide told as that is was mating season!!

Before going to our next destination, I decided to have a picture with an Iguana. I asked my uncle if he wanted to touch it but he said he has a skin allergy. Weee, di nga???

Next: Tigbao Hanging Bridge
It was shaky, slippery  and fun!Its railings made of steel and flooring of bamboo, this bridge isn’t really  the safest bridge in the world but I like the feel of it shaking under my feet, the cool breeze against my face and I loved hearing the other tourist screaming at the top of their lungs when somebody shook the bridge. 

 Suspended some 25 meters above the Loboc River, the Tigbao Hanging Bridge connects two barangays. Crossing the bridge was quite a experience. It offers a good view of the Loboc river. There’s also a souvenir shop on the other side of the bridge where you can buy the cheapest souvenir items.We actually bought t-shirts and a nice bag:)

I ♥ Bohol: Blood compact and Baclayon church

We were overly excited on our five days trip that we didn't even closed our eyes to sleep. Last May 4 to 8, 2012, me my mom and my uncle finally set our foot in the city of friendship: BOHOL

 Chilling at the airport. Our flight was 5am. We practically slept in the airport afraid that our plane might leave us LOL. When we landed and check in at elportal inn, I noticed that my luggage number lock was changed..or the worst part is i messed it up. I didn't had a chance to change my outfit Grr.

Out first stop: Blood Compact

The Bohol Blood Compact is a replica of what happened during the “Sandugo”. Sandugo is a combination of the Filipino words “Isang Dugo” or One Blood.

 The Blood Compact is considered as a tribal tradition and is the first treaty of friendship between the Filipinos and the Spaniards. Miguel Lopez de Legazpi a Spanish Explorer and Datu Sikatuna the chieftain of  Bohol sealed their friendship by dropping a few blood  in  cups containing wine.Each of them drunk the cup containing each others blood as a sign of friendship

There are also photographer there who will offer you a souvenir photo for P50.00. Here it is...

Next: Baclayon Curch

I'm not a catholic but I think it is fascinating to visit old churches.Baclayon church is one of the oldest church in the country. They said that over 200 laborers construct Baclayon church using corals, hardwood and bamboos. Historians said that laborers used millions of eggs which they  separated the egg white from the yolk and used it to cement the coral stones together.Amazing!

They sky was amazingly blue and clear.The church was renovated  and restored many times. We didn't get the chance to see the museum though and even the dungeon  for the wronged natives below the Church.

 One of the mystery of Baclayon Church was the face of Fr. Pio which was imprinted on the side foundation of the Church.Fr. Poi became famous when he was the first stigmatized priest in the history. I remember watching a movie called stigmata, where All 5 wounds of Jesus appeared on the body of a girl. They said it was the same thing happened to Father Pio.

It was so old that you can even see few bats roaming around.This is an ancient place.Baclayon church was built in 1727.

Blue and glittery Green (Palawan inspired look)

As I roamed around Palawan, there are colors that stands out. Green and blue. 

These colors inspired me to do this glittery/blue makeup look.

Just like Palawan, greenish, bluish and glittering...

Start by applying a light green eyeshadow to the half part of your lid.

Then apply this teal eyeshadow to the remaining half of your lid and carefully blend 

the two colors together to complement them

Now taking a glittery green eyeliner from careline cosmetics, carefully dab it 

all over the lid for that shimmering effect.

take a black eyeshadow and carefully apply it to your outer crease till you reach the middle area.

Now, apply a black eye liner to your upper and lower lash line.

 

 take a blue eyeliner and apply it to your outer lash line

Then get that green glitter liner again ang apply it on top of that blue eyeliner, 

like the beaches in Palawan, shimmering blue and green.

Using a gold glitter liner by ever bilena, apply it to the lower lash line

 connecting it with the blue/green glitter we just applied.

 Now for the face, I applied a peach blush and nude pink lipstick to balance the look. 

We wanted to make the eyes pop!

Your eyes should look like palawan, glittering blue and green

 glamorous, yet simple and serene

don't forget to smile and be a shining star-leah

Everything Happens for a Reason

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there… to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

And sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower or heart.

Everything Happens for a Reason

Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck.

Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity….. all occurs to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere, safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experience can create who you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones.

If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things.

Make every day count.

Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen.

Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high.

Hold your head up because you have every right to.

Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you.

Create your own life and then go out , live it and let your self shine.
