I ♥ Bohol: Balicasag and Virgin Island

We woke up early in the morning to witness the wild dolphins near Balicasag Island which one of the  great and exciting attraction when you visit Bohol. I love dolphins! They are intelligent and loving creature and  I love seeing those natural smiles on their faces!

As you can see there are other boats approaching to witness the dolphins. I felt like I was in a computer games and whoever see the dolphins first will win! hahaha

Here the are! Wohoho! I could help but to be excited upon seeing these lovely creatures!

I know, I know my photo sucks! I was having a hard time catching up with them. They are so fast that I wanted to look at them first before taking photos! The dolphins shows lasts for only 15-30 minutes and will no longer jump out of the water or show their fins because of  hot climate above the sea level.

 Next: Balicasag Island

Approaching the Balicasag Island to do some snorkeling baby!

Balicasag Island is gifted with nice spot in diving and snorkeling. As we approach the island, our boatman was already waiting for us.We rented our snorkeling gears and headed to the site. Unlike other tour packages, our boat man actually guide us during our snorkeling gig:)

Look how clear the water is!

It was actually peak season when we visited Bohol so there are tons of tourist doing some snorkeling and diving in Balicasag.Remember to bring some bread for fish feeding. Hmm, I wish one day to buy an underwater camera so i can have a chance to take photos under water. But  I tell you, It was amazing underwater. It was like another world out there. Coral reefs are like castles, and fish are like prince and princesses wearing their colorful clothes.

It was fun, hot summer day! Bohol indeed  is one of the provinces that has finest beach. The water was so clear and they have beautiful corals! Snorkeling never failed to amazed us but we did enjoy more snorkeling in deep water that of shallow one.

We changed our clothes at the island. and headed to our next stop: Virgin Island

Not far from the Balicasag island where the less explored virgin island is located. My uncle loved this place. The island isn't that big so we explored it by just walking around. There were vendors selling shells and sea urchin which my uncle tried and didn't like it at all. Hahaha

Actually, there are a lot of people in that island during that day. A lot of them were families having a bonding time together by picnicking.

After exploring the island and have our skin burned, we went to  small store where we bought banana cue, buko juice and puto.Yummy!

Grabe, neger na talaga ako dito.

After a while, we headed back to our boat and return to Panglao for our Pangalo Island tour. We will have our lunch at BOHOL BEE FARM! Excited!

The beautiful and pristine beach of Panglao Island, Bohol. I had a great time exploring these Island. We are so lucky to have this crystal clear water beaches, powdery sand and amazing underwater gems.

Palawan trip day 4: Dos Palmas

Dos Palmas is one of the luxury Resort in Palawan and is also famous for the abu sayyaf kidnapping and the sudden death of the famous local actor Rico Yan. But hey, those are in the past and besides there are some marines and navy people roaming round the island for everyone's safety.

I dreamed of coming to Dos Palmas and now, my dream finally came true. I will get to experience of spending an entire day to a famous luxury resort and see the beauty of nature God has given to us.

We were greeted by the Dos Palmas singing staff and their song was upbeat and very welcoming. They also gave us sweet ice tea.

Orientation time while sipping cold tea. Dos Palmas day tour will cost you P1,800 which includes a very generous lunch and free use for some of their facilities like kayak, snorkeling gear and much more.

Time for my favorite part! photo shoot ....

After touring around dos palmas, we finally settled down for a while at the beach front sipping milk and a hot tea. When you order a food/ drink, a waiter will actually deliver it to you, wherever you are.

This is life..quite, relaxing and peaceful .
a day is not enough to tour the whole island.

You can use the swimming pool for an extra buck of P500.00

foot massage, anyone?

We did some kayaking too, and tried some of their facilities. Dos Palmas wasn't  crowded and people usually are relaxing and sleeping by the beach so can use the facilities on your own as long as you like.

Dart, table tennis and billiards, just some of their free facilities that we tried.

After a very tiring day and tons of photo shoot, Its time to eatttt! They said that you only paid for the food and they were right! After seeing that buffet table, I couldn't help but to think that this is my last day and I'll get electrocuted tomorrow LOL!

Visiting Palawan was indeed an awesome and fulfilling experience. I have learned that life can be simple yet beautiful. That we can fulfill our dream if we put our heart in it. I dreamed of travel ling to Palawan and It finally did come true. Spending  five days in Palawan with my mom and auntie Virgie was indeed a heart warming experience. These people are like my stars, shinning through my life---Leah

Palawan trip:day 1 (city tour)

One of the places I have dreamed of visiting is Palawan. So last, Nov. 1 -5. Me, my mom and my Aunt pack our bags and headed to our dream destination: PALAWAN-the last frontier...

Arrival at Puerto Prinsesa Airport:)

We stayed at Mercedes Bed and breakfast but we are super excited that we immediately changed our clothes, and hit our city tour. By the way, we ate our lunch at Badjao seafront ( will make a separate post about that)

First stop: Plaza Quartel

Isn't that a sad story? Even the trees here seems sad too:(

A stop by at bumble Jeep:)

Binatuan is a weaving factory where they use fiber grass. They sell gorgeous bag but a little pricey.  Calvin Klein has allegedly commissioned some of the pieces here.

Mom trying to weave...

Butterfly Garden is a private entity whose aim is to conserve native butterflies. Visitors can have closer observation on these fascinating creatures and to help create awareness in the conservation of nature

 Bakers hill

I initially thought that bakers hill is just a bakery on top of the hill. Right! but aside from that the place actually offers more:)

As I walk through the area, I felt like a kid again! This place reminded me of disney land! We had to take pictures with bugs bunny, dino's, donald duck, marilyn monroe and other. Every one-from young to adult would love this beautiful park!

Sadly, the bakery was actually closed because its holiday(Nov1) so I haven't tried their bread. We bought their famous hopia, pancit and turon. Love their turon:)
Palawan is super clean and the locals are so friendly. There are no taxi's here and one of their main transportation is their cute tricycle which my mom love!
