Palawan trip day 4: Dos Palmas

 

Dos Palmas is one of the luxury Resort in Palawan and is also famous for the abu sayyaf kidnapping and the sudden death of the famous local actor Rico Yan. But hey, those are in the past and besides there are some marines and navy people roaming round the island for everyone's safety.

I dreamed of coming to Dos Palmas and now, my dream finally came true. I will get to experience of spending an entire day to a famous luxury resort and see the beauty of nature God has given to us.

We were greeted by the Dos Palmas singing staff and their song was upbeat and very welcoming. They also gave us sweet ice tea.

Orientation time while sipping cold tea. Dos Palmas day tour will cost you P1,800 which includes a very generous lunch and free use for some of their facilities like kayak, snorkeling gear and much more.

 After touring around dos palmas, we finally settled down for a while at the beach front sipping milk and a hot tea.When you order a food/ drink, a waiter will actually deliver it to you, wherever you are.

 This is life..quite, relaxing and peaceful .

    a day is not enough to tour the whole island.

We did some kayaking too, and tried some of their facilities. Dos Palmas wasn't  crowded and people usually are relaxing and sleeping by the beach so can use the facilities on your own as long as you like.

 After a very tiring day and tons of photo shoot, Its time to eatttt!They said that you only paid for the food and they were right! After seeing that buffet table, I couldn't help but to think that this is my last day and I'll get electrocuted tomorrow LOL!

 Visiting Palawan was indeed an awesome and fulfilling experience. I have learned that life can be simple yet beautiful. That we can fulfill our dream if we put our heart in it. I dreamed of travel ling to Palawan and It finally did come true. Spending  five days in Palawan with my mom and auntie Virgie was indeed a heart warming experience.These people are like my stars, shinning through my life---Leah

Before we went to Palawan, I already researched for "the best places to eat" in Palawan and one of them is the famous Kalui.I already read the it was often  packed so I asked the receptionist at Mercedes bed and Breakfast to reserved a table for us.

By the way, no slippers/shoes are allowed for more homey and comfortable dine:)

Palawan trip day 3: Honda bay



Palawan is really a fascinating place and I hope I could return to  visit Coron or El nido. On our third day, we spent the whole day island hopping at Honday Bay. Honda Bay is a group of small islands lined with fine white sand beaches. Our first stop is Pambato Reef.

Pambato reef is for snorkeling and fish feeding. It has a couple of platforms connected by bamboo bridges.It also had a small store.You will definitely enjoy water dipping and snorkeling with fishes!

Next stop: Snake Island

No,it doesn't have a snake lol! Snake Island has a long sand bar that has a shape of a Snake, connected to the beach. It is the best place for snorkeling and fish feeding because it has an abundant fishes, so make sure that your bring lots of slice bread to feed them!

Last stop: Pandan Island

This serve as our lunch venue. There are cottages where you can eat and relax. Water sports activities are also available like banana boat, kayaking, snorkeling and jet skiing.

 We had a blast! I really love Palawan. It was indeed awarded as the cleanest City in the Philippines.They have beautiful and clean beaches where anyone can relax and enjoy wonderful adventures.

Dos Palmas 

Palawan Trip: day 2(Underground River)

Our second day itinerary is to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site-Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, also known as the Underground River:)
I was overly excited visiting this place. Your palawan trip will never be complete without the PPur.

 Sabang beach was indeed a surprise. The view was spectacular and the sand was very soft.

 Ok, time to meet the celebrity...

Hard hats and life vests are necessary. Be sure to close your mouth once you are inside.
The moment you open your mouth, a bat's wiwi or poohpoh  might accidentally fall into your mouth.

 

 

It would have been pitch black without the light from our small boat.  The cave has a 8.2 km navigable underground river but tourists are only allowed to reach up to 1 km. 

Our boatman successfully entertained us during our boat ride. Telling corny but funny joke.

He showed us all the stalactites and stalagmites that look like a..... mushroom.

The 45 minutes went by so fast, but what an experience! 

Underground river was mesmerizing.

These monitor lizards ( bayawak) freely roamed the grounds of the park.Don't be afraid, they are shy:)

It was still early so the driver prompted us to visit the UGONG ROCK!

Caving started for a couple of years where tourists can tour inside the rock and climb up to the top of the limestone. A pair of gloves and helmet is given to those who will take the challenge.

Caving is 200 and zipline is 250.I  forgot how much I paid because I only did half caving and short zipline. 

(The higher and longer one was closed due to land property problem):(

It was indeed fun and adventurous day!
